PASTORAL CARE

Christ Church in Short Hills is a caring community. Clergy and trained laypersons extend one-to-one Christian care to parishioners facing crises and challenges, as well as to those who are ill or hospitalized, homebound or in a care or rehabilitation facility. Clergy visits with those in need in their homes, at hospitals and long-term care facilities. If you know of someone who could benefit from a visit from either clergy or lay visitor, or wish to have the Sacrament brought to them, contact the Parish Office or speak to our clergy.

PRAYER

Prayers of the People are read every Sunday morning as an integral component of our worship Liturgy during the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services. To include the name of a loved one to our prayer’s list, contact the Parish Office at (973) 379-2898.

PRAYERS OF HEALING & THANKSGIVING

Prayers of Healing & Thanksgiving are offered in the Prayer Chapel immediately following the Sunday10 a.m. Eucharist service. 

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS

Altar Flower Dedications for the Sunday morning worship service are offered in the memory of a loved one, in thanksgiving for family or friends, or in celebration of a special event or person in your life of faith. Your dedication will appear in the Sunday worship bulletin. Please contact the Parish Office to donate and dedicate flowers for a selected Sunday, at (973) 379-2898.

WINCHESTER GARDENS

On the third Thursday afternoon of every month, our Clergy lead residents of Winchester Gardens in worship. While various members of our parish reside at the Maplewood home, the Winchester Gardens congregation is comprised of people of all faith backgrounds.
