Town Hall Meeting with Our Interim Rector

The membership of Christ Church in Short Hills is cordially invited to attend a “town hall” style meeting to be held immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, April 22. The occasion for this gathering will be the arrival of the Rev. Dr. John DeWitt Stonesifer and the purpose is to provide the congregation an opportunity to meet and greet John and his wife Susan.

Our Wardens will provide an introduction after which John and Susan will share their backgrounds, interests and what drew them to joining us. Following this there will be time for questions and answers with the hope being that questions will come from both the congregation attendees and from John and Susan so that the forum serves to educate and inform both us and our new arrivals. Leadership Transition at Christ Church

Christ Church has been blessed with the strong leadership of our Rector, The Rev. Dr. Timothy Mulder, over the past 8 years. In December 2017, Fr. Mulder announced his resignation at Christ Church and accepted a call to serve as the Interim Rector at St. Anne's - Annapolis, Maryland.

We celebrate Tim and Linda’s wonderful contributions to Christ Church over these years and we wish them well with their new ministry in Annapolis. Christ Church is now in the process of finding and calling our next Rector.

On Sunday, February 11, Christ Church celebrated the ministry of Fr. Tim Mulder. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a wonderful send off for the Mulder's. Click here to view some of the photos taken by Zach Davis.

Thank you Letter from Mulder's

Dear friends at Christ Church,

Linda joins me in thanking you for the joy and renewal you made possible with your amazing gift to us upon leaving Christ Church.

As you know, France is close to my heart, primarily because in 1971 it was the first place I ever flew on an airplane, it was a culture beyond anything I had ever known, and it taught me not to be afraid of new challenges (I didn’t speak of word of French when I arrived). [Read More]
