Invitation to join Christ Church Choirs
By joining the choir you are blessed with the opportunity to
pray twice and are guaranteed a good seat for worship! Anyone desiring to donate
some time and talent to worship is heartily encouraged to join the Chancel Choir
or the Children’s and Canterbury Choirs. The Fall rehearsal schedule is posted
below and will also be reflected on the Sunday School schedule. The schedule
also appears in the online and quarterly Messengers. Rehearsal times
for the children is 10:45 to 11:30 following Sunday Eucharist and as announced
for special events. The children warm up and robe at approximately 9:15 a.m. on
any Sunday they are singing. Anthem/singing dates will be announced via email to
choir parents. As always, help is needed in getting the children robed on Sunday
mornings and routine robe maintenance. See, call, or e-mail John Pivarnik at
johnpivarnik@optonline.net for further information.

Baptisms
Holy Baptism is
initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body and thus the Church.
Therefore it is appropriate that Baptism be administered during a celebration of
the Eucharist on a Sunday or other feast day. Baptism is offered at Christ
Church according to the rubrics of the Book of Common Prayer at the
Easter Vigil (mid-March to late April), on the Day of Pentecost (sometime in May
or June), the Sunday after All Saints’ Day (early November), and on the Feast of
the Baptism of Our Lord (the first Sunday after the Epiphany in mid-January).
Baptism is also offered on the Sunday closest after Holy Cross Day in
mid-September.
Weddings
The celebration of Christian marriage is an occasion of
great joy. The clergy and staff of Christ Church are pleased that a couple seek
a holy union, and will counsel and direct them through the marriage process. Any
day may be scheduled for a marriage except on Easter Day, Christmas Eve,
Christmas Day, or in Lent.
